Elvyn Richards is the largest catered hall at Loughborough Students, with just over 400 undergraduate students in residence. The hall was relocated to a brand new building in January 2009 but the name transfered over. The old Elvyn RIchards was built in 1971 on the Loughborough University Golf course, and court 5 added in 1975. It was named after Professor Elfyn Richards, the University's second Vice-Chancellor from 1967 to 1975, who was a leading expert in aircraft design and also set up LCR, the students radio station.
